How do you know that someone has listened to you? If after you have spoken you see the same thing happening again and again that only means that that person has heard you. Hearing and listening are two different things. When someone listens to you they effect the change necessary. They show you that they have listened. They don’t tell you they have changed. Actions scream louder than words. That’s why you can hear them immediately.
Just my luck
It was just my luck that he left
After the theft
Because I know
He’d never go
He just kept planning to leave
I didn’t believe
Said it before,
Walked out the door
But then he would return again
Only to remain
To haunt my life
To cause more strife
Parenting is so frustrating.
I have a two year old daughter who try’s me. She looks me straight in the eye and try’s me. I would tell her it is time to sleep and she would say NO! She would go on her bed and when she thinks I am not looking she gets of. And not just like that…she slides off bit by bit. Some days I think its getting easier then some days we back track to things I thought we had conquered. It is very frustrating at times.
